Jon Lourie is a founder and builder at the intersection of blockchain, AI, and emerging markets. A graduate of the Bitcoin Startup Lab AI Accelerator and OnePiece Labs, Jon brings nearly a decade of software engineering experience and a background in computer science. He has led initiatives across Layer 1 blockchains, launched developer ecosystems, and founded Web3 startups. His work focuses on creating novel financial systems and decentralized platforms that unlock opportunity for people traditionally left out of the system.

Bitcoin Projects
In 2024, I joined Runiverse as CTO. Runiverse was one of the first Bitcoin metaprotocols that allowed wallets to stake Runes. The staking was non-custodial and also used time-lock scripts to enforce staking. In addition to helping develope the product conceptually and GTM, I also built the first working MVP. I helped create DOG ARMY HQ, which was a custom product released by the Runiverse team to allow $DOG token holders to stake their $DOG.

In 2023, I joined XR Bootcamp as a blockchain developer, devrel and content lead. While there I built numerous games and SDKs to help recruit new students to XR Bootcamp classes and workshops. At Coreum, I led ecosystem growth initiatives as part of the Developer Relations team. I onboarded 20+ ecosystem partners, built internal dev training platforms, and launched the foundation of the Coreum grants program—helping position Coreum as a leading Layer 1 in the Cosmos ecosystem.
